Why do people start new businesses?

Entrepreneur, writer and publisher of Start-Up Spark Ben Yoskovitz has posted a good article called The Top 5 Reasons People Start New Businesses. According to Yoskovitz, the reasons are (in descending order): 5) Personal Freedom, 4) Personal Development, 3) Ego, 2) Money, and, the number one reason people start new businesses: PASSION.

Even though mental illness is noticeably absent from the list, the article makes some points worth considering when marketing to prospective franchise owners. Check it out here: STARTUP SPARK.

I think the main reason is deffinitly passion. I myself was awful at education but now am so passionate about what I do, I run a succesful hotel for people goin through marital difficulties.
